EverHope Path to Adulthood

(In Development)

The transition to adulthood can be challenging for any young person. It’s even more challenging for youth who have experienced foster care.

EverHope’s Path to Adulthood initiative is being thoughtfully developed to support young people as they begin navigating independence, stability, and self-direction.

It’s envisioned as a flexible network of programs, training, and services designed to meet young people where they are. Rather than relying on a single approach, we are exploring multiple pathways that support successful transitions. This includes: life skills development, education and employment readiness, connection to community resources, and the potential role of transitional living supports when appropriate.

At its core, this initiative will focus on strengthening long-term readiness and stability, with programming that may include financial literacy, workforce preparation, education and training pathways, health and wellness support, and trusted adult mentorship.

Any housing-related components under consideration would be designed to complement these supports. The Path to Adulthood initiative will serve as one option within a broader continuum, rather than a stand-alone solution.

Importantly, Path to Adulthood is intended to align with and enhance the services already available through the foster care system, supporting young people who voluntarily choose to engage as they prepare for independence. As this initiative continues to take shape, EverHope remains committed to developing approaches that are practical, trauma-informed, and guided by the voices and experiences of young people themselves.

With your help, we can create viable resources that honor choice, dignity, and hope for the future.
