Basic needs such as food, clothing, transportation, and medical care
Safe shelter and 24/7 care for children in crisis
The largest and most secure of three shelters in Arkansas, providing a safe haven for children when home is no longer safe. EverHope Children’s Shelter primarily serves teens and child trafficking victims, offering comprehensive care through on-site education at Horizon Academy, medical and therapeutic services, and case management to ensure each child’s health and well-being.

Hope School Project delivers a comprehensive, trauma-responsive program designed to support students, staff, and families through evidence-based, neurobiologically-informed practices.
Services are three-fold to include 1) in-school, tiered behavior support for students, 2) training, modeling and coaching to teachers and staff. and 3) in-home support and guidance to families, providing wrap around services to ensure the whole family has the resources to thrive.
Foster care, family stabilization, and reunification services
As a foster home licensing agency in Benton, Washington, Madison, and Carroll counties—and the only licensing agency in the region with no exclusions—NWACS addresses the urgent need for foster care. With a ratio of just 0.7 beds per child in need and an average of 450 foster children in Northwest Arkansas alone, NWACS plays a vital role in recruiting, licensing, and supporting foster families.
Path to Adulthood (Exploration Phase):
Path to Adulthood is a developing initiative to strengthen life skills, stability, and connection for youth in foster care as they move toward adulthood. For foster teens who age out of the system at 18 years old, 25% experience homelessness, 20% become incarcerated, and 43% face unemployment.

Kentucky Derby
Enjoy the Run for the Roses with an Ozark flair at the 2025 Kentucky Derby Party in support of the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter. You and your guests will savor delicious bites from a variety of local restaurants along with the traditional mint julep and other drink favorites. Take part in the silent auction and try your hand at our Derby-inspired games. All pre-Derby races are featured on big screens throughout the venue culminating in the greatest two minutes of sports excitement live from Churchill Downs.
Kickball for Kids
Kickball for the Kids is the best team-building event of the year! Whether your team is super competitive or just here to have fun, join us on the kickball fields to test your skills against other NWA corporate teams and see who will be crowned as the 2025 Kickball for the Kids Champion. Now in its 15th year, Kickball for the Kids continues to serve as a fun, bonding experience for teams while also raising funds to support the kids at the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter.
