Many people consider becoming foster parents but quickly begin listing all the reasons they may not be qualified. But children in foster care do not need perfect families. They need safe, stable adults who are willing to learn, grow, and show up consistently.

In our work at EverHope, we spend our days alongside children, families, and educators in very different school settings. One thing we see again and again is that kids do not always come home and tell us exactly what is bothering them.

Every day across Arkansas and across the country, schools are being asked to carry far more than academics. Increasingly, schools are functioning as frontline behavioral health stabilization systems, often without the staffing, infrastructure, or community support designed for that level of complexity.
